Gleeble Legacy Systems

Gleeble 1500

The 1500 enabled:

  • Integrated thermal and mechanical simulation
  • Advanced applications, including continuous casting simulation
  • Broader international adoption, with sales to Japan, China, and Europe

During the span of more than two decades, more than 130 Gleeble 1500 systems were installed worldwide.

AN ERA OF COMPUTERIZED PHYSICAL SIMULATION

First introduced in 1979, the Gleeble 1500 was the company's first physical simulation equipment that combined closed-loop thermal and mechanical control in a single system with computerized controls to supervise the simulation process and report data.

As technology and manufacteruring has changed drastically in the following decades, we have to reflect on the fact that replacement components are often not available for older Gleeble models. While we will make every effort to continue to service these platforms, we can no longer guarantee the availability of component parts.

DSI has had a long and proven history of success with materials testing equipment. We currently offer more adaptable and capable systems that fit the complexities of modern materials testing needs.
