Gleeble® 1500


The Gleeble® 1500 platform was introduced in the late 1970s and has served as an industry leader in thermal-mechanical simulation for decades.  While many upgrades have been made to the 1500 platform, including the Series 3 Digital Control Update, advances in technology and a continuing drive to innovate by the team at Dynamic Systems has resulted in new and improved model lines, including the Gleeble 3180, 3500 and 3800.

While the Gleeble 1500 platform has provided thousands of researchers many years of faithful service, our service teams have found it increasingly difficult to maintain and repair these units because replacement components are often not available for older technology. While we will make every effort to continue to service these platforms, we can no longer guarantee the availability of component parts. 
Our team is often asked about availability of Gleeble 1500 models, if you are interested in the capabilities of the Gleeble 1500, we encourage you to consider new Gleeble models. For example, many Gleeble 1500 users have found the Gleeble 500 Series or the Gleeble 3180 to be ideal fits for their needs because it represents a modest investment while still delivering world-class performance.
The Gleeble 3180 is an 8 ton, 1 meter/sec machine featuring a full digital control system, and accurate control of thermal and mechanical parameters as well as virtually bumpless transitions. Applications include weld HAZ, hot ductility, melting and controlled solidification, phase transformation studies as well as various heat treatment studies.
